"Evils of Extortion"

Evils of Extortion
Extortion turns a wise man into a fool, and a bribe corrupts the heart,"(Ecc 7:7).

Sinners extort to gain something at the expense of their victims and theyresort to brutality when their demands are not met.

The evils of extortion can be likened to stagnant water where flies and mosquitoes breed in. Such men and women are often controlled by their inner desire to sin and theiraddiction to sin often compels them to do evil. The heart of an evil personwill always ploy evil and their deeds will always be wicked.

This sin ofextortion has now become a trend and its followers are ever increasing and itwill continue till all sinners are wiped out from the face of this earth. The sons and daughters of satan sin in different ways and they shall also bepunished in different ways for the sins they committed.

In our land the evilsof this sin has not only corrupted the saints but it has also destroyed thesalvation of the wicked. The wayward sinners depends on extortion for survivaland they support their families with their ill gotten wealth. It is sad thatthese little lovely children often grows up to sin and then die in sin. Themothers that bore them are also responsible for their sins and God will judgeeveryone according to their deeds.

The sins of this vice can be categorized intwo ways: (a) Extorting through deception and (b) Extorting through the acts ofviolence. However the punishments for all culprits will be the same and theywill be made to suffer because of what they did.

The truth is even if thesinners are set free through the acts of bail and deception they shalldefinitely be condemned on the day of the judgment if they repent nto of their sins.

It may appear to you that this article on the evils of extortion is of judgment andcondemnation but it is not. The purpose of this message is solely to warnsinners about the consequences of falling under God’s judgment andcondemnation.

The scripture states “the souls who sins will die and the future of the wickedwill be cut off (Ezekiel 18:20) (Proverbs 2:22) (Psalm 37:38 ). The sad realityis that many are already under judgment and their souls under condemnation(Sinners who died in sin).

The days of these last days are darkened by the sinsof the world and many children of lawlessness will be born in sin and will diein sin. The ways of satan will only lead sinners to hell and who ever has readthis will be guilty of many sins if they fail to live by it.

The evils ofextortion are ever increasing and it will not be long before they are destroyedby the curses of God’s wrath.

There are some sinners who gain so much at theexpense of the poor, while there are those who increases their wealth by theacts of murder brutality and violence. Regarding such men the scripture states"In men you accept bribes to shed blood; you make usury and excessive interestand make unjust gains from your neighbor by extortionn. And you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign Lord" (Ezekiel 22:12).

Ifthese words of God convict you, I urge you to return to Christ before you die. This sin of extortion will do you no good because ultimately your life will beruined and your salvation destroyed because of this “Little Sin” calledextortion.

The wicked will always plot evil in their hearts and they will satiate theirappetite for destruction through their acts of wickedness. God further warns usthrough His Word which says “I will surely strike my hands together at theunjust gain you have made and at the blood you have shed in your midst. Willyour courage endure or your hands be strong in the day I deal with you? I theLord have spoken, and I will do it (Ezekiel 22:13-14).

The warnings describedhere a,s evils of extortion, are quite explicit but it is the only way to warn sinners about theconsequences of God’s wrath. God has made it clear in His Word that stealingis a sin and He further cautioned that the consequences of it will be death.

Truth is, death and destruction are never satisfied nor are the hearts ofdestructive persons. Satan is now encouraging you to sin but be warned that if you do what satandesires, you will ultimately end up in the place which is reserved for him andhis followers.

‘Sin while you can for the time is near is a heretic themewhich is supported by the father of lies to deceive the sinners and believersalike. Listen not to lies for you will be deceived but listen to the truth andyou will be redeemed. T

he Lord beckons every sinner and extortionist to shunevil and pursue righteousness. The doers of evil will only end up in hell butthe doers of righteousness will inherit all the promises of the Word.

Thedecision to choose between right and wrong is up to you but know that there isa heaven and a hell. The Church of Christ welcomes you to become one withChrist.

  • Please Note: I used the term Evils of Extortion to convict all those who are under the influence of it. This sin can also be categorized into different categories and the vices of it works in different ways. In this new age I feel that this sin is not only affecting the corporate world but it also seems to be affecting the Church as a whole. What I am made to believe is that Killing people's joy is also a form of extortion.
