During the Storms of Life

Without Jesus love we are nothing. Jesus Christ is LOVE. If you stop and think about it, people in this world will tell you just about anything! They’ll tell you…

They will love you forever and always. That we have just grown apart. It’s not you, it’s me.

People might run off with your best friend, OR perhaps die.

At that point your heart is ripped right out of your chest and you can hardly breathe. All of that is bad news. The GOOD NEWS is God made a way for us to have true love and that true love is Jesus Christ. He doesn’t run away from us. He doesn’t grow apart from us and He won’t die. He already did, to help us be all that we can be, not only in eternity, but also here and now.

He paved the way for us. He was obedient to the Father, even unto death! Jesus says in John 10:10; I am come that they might Have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Those close to me already know, but I would like to share this with you. My youngest son, Joe, was 24 years old when he went home to be with the Lord. I could not even function or do the simplest of tasks for the longest time. I never thought I would have peace or joy again in my life. I was totally devastated. But by God’s Amazing Grace, He brought me through that horrific ordeal and restored me fully.

Another season in my life…I came home on a Sunday afternoon, after being at my niece’s baby shower; and found my precious husband dead! He was lying on the ground, in our back yard. Lying a few feet away from him was the gun he used! Yes, he had committed suicide! Do you know who was with me then and brought me through that valley? That’s right, My Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Folks, this is true stuff! Life hurts and we have to be ready for the pain and sorrow that sometimes comes our way. It is only by Jesus love and guidance that we are prepared for these overwhelming and dark circumstances. Our Lord said, in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

There is no magic pill or potion that makes us happy ALL the time. We have to put our faith in motion and keep it where it belongs, where it really counts. Jesus Does Not Disappoint us; He is always there for us.

Give yourself to Jesus today, don’t wait. He’s your support, He’s your recovery. He is everything you will ever need. Get to know God intimately, listen to what He has to say, study His Word.

We are all going to have problems this side of heaven, but do you want to go thru them alone? Jesus love never fails.
