Many consider Jesus' influence on history to have had a greater impact than any other individual. Among Christians, He is known as the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the most significant figure in history.
Jesus was born around 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem, Judea. The Jewish people were expecting Him because His birth had been prophesied many times in the Old Testament.
He grew up in Galilee, in the small town of Nazareth, and at the age of 30, He began His ministry.
He performed many miracles and taught of the soon-coming New Testament, where sacrificing animals would no longer work to obtain forgiveness of sins; this would only be available through faith in Him.
Jesus challenged the Jewish Rulers of His day, and they thought His teachings were extreme because they differed from their Old Testament Laws.
Apart from His Plan of Salvation, perhaps His greatest message was that God loves all people. Christians come from every nation, culture, and color (red, yellow, black, and white); they are all the same, and Jesus has commanded them to love one another.
Jesus taught about humility, selflessness, and the importance of forgiveness. He also helped them to understand the importance of prayer and how to trust God to supply their needs. He was considerate and tender when dealing with the poor and downtrodden.
Although He was loved by many of the people, the religious leaders saw Him as a threat to their teachings and planned to have Him arrested and put to death.
He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who led the authorities to Him. He was arrested, found guilty of blasphemy, and sentenced to death by crucifixion.
Jesus was crucified but then rose from the dead three days later, fulfilling the hundreds of prophecies from the Old Testament, and establishing that he was who He claimed to be, the Son of God.
Before He returned to His Father in Heaven, He appeared to His disciples and over 500 others to assure them that He was Christ, The Savior of the world.
Jesus brought the gift of Salvation to the world so that anyone who would believe in Him could have eternal life; His message of love, forgiveness, and compassion is often misquoted and misunderstood but will live on into Eternity, illuminating and changing the lives of millions.
Jesus's influence on human history is indisputable.

This Gospel of John Commentary is a great source of information on the life of Jesus
Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
