"Thanks for the Memories"
A Beautiful Mother's Day
It was a beautiful Mother's Day. Spring was in the air with the temperatures worth anyone's enjoyment. I know and understand that on a holiday such as this, families find themselves sometimes going in all directions, making appearances here and there - the pressure is on! I know. I have a have been there! Done that!
With that in mind, I try to make it easier on my family and not display a, "Be sure and acknowledge me or else," attitude. I thought to myself I'll just spend a quiet day at home. Little did I know that all were planning a big day at Gram's (me). It was a nice surprise. Most of all, what a wonderful, honorable thing to do. Thus the poem,
Poetry for My Sons:
Thanks for the memories since you both now are grown. I am very happy to see you have lives of your own.
I must say you haven't excluded me from the mother I have been. I was very honored when you and your families came to my home showing your love to me then.
When you were little, and life seemed hard to do, I knew that first I was a mother and this I wanted to pursue.
I couldn't have done it without God at my side but thank God He is faithful to us if in Him we choose to abide.
You were so close in age, only a year apart and I enjoyed dressing you like twins. The memory of you both as I watched from my window, I am happy to say never ends.
I will continue to pray for you and your families; I am so proud of you both, I must say. Now it is time for me to close and I wish you a Happy Birthday!

"For My Grandson"
"Happy Fathers Day"
to My Three Sons
Happy Fathers Day to My three sons
Two of you have three
and Ron only one.
I'm so proud of you all
I hardly know what to say,
All of you shine in your own
special way.
Lynn, you are strong
and have muscles galore,
And you sure do know how
to manage that store.
Ronnie, you're handsome
as you dress up for work
Looking sharp in your best clothes
as you head for the roads.
Tim, I hardly know where
to put you, In what category?
I guess Mr. Entertainer is
where you get the glory.
Love to you all,
Ruth
Why is it so difficult for our educators and society, in general, to understand that love and respect for one another taught from a young age can solve much of the world's hostility and social problems!
"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (Prov 22:6).
Love is the answer!
True loyalty springs from the heart and is wrapped in love. It is often in our most private moments that true loyalty, or the lack of it, is made known.
